Sara Arjona Téllez began their work experience in 1999 as a computer science teacher at Academia Hispanoamericana. In 2000, they worked as a developer at THE INFORMATION HIGHWAY GROUP (IHG). From 2001 to 2003, they were a developer at inLab FIB, where they conducted research on Voice Technologies and the Multimodality. At UPCnet, Sara worked as a project manager from 2003 to 2016, managing and developing various applications for the Ministry of Education of the Generalitat of Catalonia. In 2017, they worked as a project manager at IThinkUPC before joining Moodle as a developer in the same year.

Sara Arjona Téllez began their education in 1984 at Escola Josep Monmany de Sant Feliu de Llobregat, where they completed their EGB degree in 1992. Sara then attended Institut de Batxillerat "Olorda" de Sant Feliu de Llobregat and received their BUP degree from 1992 to 1995. Sara continued their studies at the same institution and completed their COU degree in Modalitat A i B from 1995 to 1996.

In 1996, Sara enrolled at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya to pursue a Technical Computer Science Engineering degree with a focus on Management Information Systems. Sara studied there until 2000 when they graduated with their degree. Sara furthered their education at the same university and obtained a degree in Computer Science Engineering from 2000 to 2002.

Throughout their education, Sara also obtained several certifications. In 2009, they received the Sun Certified Java Programmer for Java Standard Edition 6 (CX-310-065) certification from Sun Microsystems. Later, in 2015, they obtained the Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org.

Additionally, Sara holds the certification of "Particularly helpful Moodler 2021" from Moodle, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
