Anke Pierik

Anke Pierik has extensive work experience in the design and research field. Anke is currently the Global Head of Energy & Sustainability Studio at Moon Creative Lab since January 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Global Head of Design at Moon Creative Lab from August 2020 to December 2021.

From 2015 to 2020, Anke worked as a Design Leader, Advisor, and Mentor, bringing human-centered design leadership to various technology and robotics startups such as Sofar Ocean Technologies, Intuition Robotics, and kimkim.

Anke also worked at Ford Motor Company as a Design Director for D-Ford from May 2018 to August 2019.

Anke has a background in co-founding Spoondrift at Sofar Ocean, where they served as the Co-Founder and Head of Product & Design from September 2015 to May 2018.

Before their roles at Moon Creative Lab and Ford Motor Company, Anke worked at IDEO as a Senior Design Lead in the Transportation & Mobility Portfolio from February 2013 to August 2015. Prior to that, they held the position of Project and Design Research Lead at IDEO from February 2007 to August 2013.

Anke's earlier work experience includes roles at Research International as a Qualitative Research Executive and Global Coordinator for the Unilever account from September 2003 to June 2006. Anke also worked as a User Experience Researcher at Eindhoven University of Technology from July 2002 to October 2002, and at Meru Research from December 2000 to November 2001. Anke began their career as an Interaction Design Intern at Philips Design from July 2000 to October 2000.

Anke Pierik obtained their MSc degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology. Anke pursued their education at the university from 1994 to 2001.
