Lisa Burns

Lisa Burns is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and travel writing. Currently serving as a Travel Guidebook Author at Moon Travel Guides since September 2014, Lisa has authored three editions of the Moon Travel Galapagos Islands. A former Senior Full Stack Engineer at LiveRamp, Lisa worked on billing and usage metrics systems using a diverse tech stack, and also held engineering roles at VMware and Pivotal Software, where significant contributions were made in software engineering, team management, and the development of cloud solutions. Prior experience includes product management at Bio-Rad Laboratories and business analysis at Align Technology. Lisa holds a Master of Science in Bioengineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from UC San Diego.
