Erica Stefano

Analyst at Moonshot

Erica Stefano has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. In 2017, they worked as a Staff Illustrator and later as a Design Editor at the McGill Tribune. In 2019, they served as a Communications and Research Intern at Canadian Journalists for Free Expression (CJFE), where they conducted activism and implemented updates to the organization's website and social media presence. In the same year, they also worked as an Editor for the Samizdat Journal at the Russian Undergraduate Students' Society.

In 2021, Erica joined Eurasianet as an Editorial Associate, where they drafted contextual summaries and co-wrote articles on various topics. Erica subsequently worked as a Curatorial Assistant at The Harriman Institute at Columbia University and as a Program Assistant, where they implemented a visual brand and managed events.

Erica also gained experience at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty in 2021, working as an External Affairs Contractor. In this role, they researched and developed social media campaigns, drafted press releases, and scheduled tweets to highlight the organization's work. Erica later worked as a PR and Communications Intern at the same organization in 2022.

Most recently, in 2022, Erica joined IREX as a Consultant and is currently working as a Project Assistant at Moonshot.

Erica Stefano completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with Honours in Political Science, along with minor concentrations in History and Russian, at McGill University from 2016 to 2019. Erica went on to pursue a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Regional Studies focusing on Russia, Eurasia, and Eastern Europe at Columbia University from 2020 to 2022.
