Engagement and Support Manager

Job description

More Techies is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Engagement and Support Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our current students, providing them with guidance and support throughout their learning journey, and ensuring they have a positive and enriching experience. You will also be responsible for facilitating communication between students and instructors, managing the alumni community, and gathering feedback to continuously improve our programs and offerings.

Responsibilities:

Student Engagement and Support:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for current students, offering guidance and support throughout their learning process.
  • Proactively engage with students to address their questions, concerns, and challenges, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting collaboration, encouraging active participation, and facilitating peer-to-peer interaction.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with students to assess their progress, identify areas of improvement, and provide personalized support when needed.

Communication and Class Management:

  • Maintain regular communication with students and instructors, ensuring they are informed about class schedules, assignments, and any updates or changes.
  • Coordinate and schedule classes, workshops, and other learning activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with instructors to ensure the delivery of high-quality educational content and facilitate a seamless learning experience.

Alumni Community Management:

  • Manage the alumni community, fostering engagement and ongoing connections among graduates.
  • Collect feedback from alumni to gauge their satisfaction with the program, identify areas for improvement, and relay suggestions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support to alumni, offering resources, networking opportunities, and career guidance.

Program Improvement:

  • Collaborate with the instructional team to gather feedback from students and instructors, identifying opportunities to enhance the learning experience.
  • Analyze student performance data, including assessments and evaluations, to identify trends and areas of improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to enhance student success and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (X years) in student engagement, support, or related roles, preferably in an educational or online learning environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathize, connect with, and support students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to anticipate and address student needs and challenges effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and online communication tools.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and student engagement strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with instructors, staff, and other stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and respond to changing situations.
  • Experience in managing online communities or social media platforms is a plus.
  • Passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting students' growth and development.
