Andrea Tillotson

Andrea Tillotson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. Andrea is currently a Data Scientist at Morning Consult, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant/Intern at Public Good Consulting LLC from January 2022 to May 2022, where they conducted data cleaning, analysis, and visualization tasks for public policy research.

In 2021, Andrea worked as a Web Content Editor at the University of Michigan - School of Information from June to September. In 2020, they had a role as a Content Analyst for the Journalism Team at Pew Research Center, where they contributed to a content analysis project and assisted in developing a codebook.

Andrea's previous experience includes various roles at the University of Michigan. Andrea served as a Parent Orientation Assistant from January 2020 to September 2020, Vice President of Training for Tour Guides from September 2019 to April 2020, Resident Advisor from August 2019 to April 2020, Tour Guide from February 2017 to April 2020, and Orientation Leader from March 2018 to December 2019.

Andrea also worked as a Writing Fellow at the U-M Sweetland Center for Writing from January 2020 to May 2020, where they developed writing prompts and graded assignments for undergraduate students. Additionally, Andrea worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan - Office of Enrollment Management from September 2017 to May 2018, where they conducted data analysis and coded surveys and focus group responses.

Andrea Tillotson has a strong educational background in the fields of data science, political science, and philosophy. Andrea obtained their Master's degree in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (with a focus on Data Science) from Columbia University in the years 2021-2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Philosophy at the University of Michigan, graduating between 2016 and 2020.

In addition to their academic achievements, Andrea has also obtained several certifications in various programming languages and data analysis tools. Andrea completed intermediate courses in R and introductory courses in both Python and R through DataCamp, a renowned online learning platform. These certifications were obtained in the months of July and August in 2021.
