Dr. Carmela Morrone

Clinical Scientist/ Clinical Program Lead at MorphoSys

Dr. Carmela Morrone has a strong background in clinical research and project management. Dr. Carmela currently works as a Clinical Scientist at MorphoSys since December 2021. Before that, they served as an Assistant Clinical Project Manager at Bioclinica from October 2020 to November 2021. Dr. Morrone also gained experience as a Board Academy member at DZL (Deutsches Zentrum für Lungenforschung) from 2018 to April 2020. Dr. Carmela worked as a PhD student at Helmholtz Zentrum München from May 2016 to April 2020, specializing in a specific area related to their field. Alongside their academic degrees, Dr. Morrone also obtained several additional certifications throughout their career.

In 2016, they acquired the certification for Basics in FACS and FACS sorting from Helmholtz Zentrum München. The following year, in 2017, they obtained a certification in Scientific Writing Strategies from Helmholtz.

In 2018, Dr. Morrone earned the certification in Good Scientific Practice from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München and Mouse Single Lung Transplantation from Universität Hospital Zürich.

In 2019, they obtained the certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH): Intramural Research Program (IRP), and in 2019, they acquired the certification in Statistics with GraphPad Prism from Lab Academy.

Most recently, in 2020, Dr. Morrone obtained the certification in Project Management Foundations: Risk from PMP Certification Training | PMP Training | CAPM Training | PMI Registered Education Provider. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Project Management, although the institution from which they received this certification is not specified.
