Clinical Program Lead - Senior Clinical Scientist at MorphoSys

Lisa Walz has a diverse work experience in the field of clinical science and virology. Lisa is currently working at MorphoSys as a Clinical Scientist and Clinical Program Leader since January 2023. Before that, they were employed at CureVac AG from September 2018 to January 2023, where they held the positions of Clinical Scientist for Vaccines and Clinical Scientist. Lisa also worked at Paul-Ehrlich-Institut from May 2014 to September 2018, initially as a Master student and later as a PhD student specializing in Virology. Lisa started their career with a student internship in Neuroscience at The Ohio State University from September 2011 to February 2012.

Lisa Walz has a strong education background in the field of biology, specifically with a focus on virology. Lisa obtained their Dr.rer.nat. degree in Biology and Virology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, where they studied from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biology at the same university, studying from 2013 to 2015. Lisa also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, which they earned between 2009 and 2013.

Additionally, Lisa has pursued further certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Lisa obtained a Certificate in Project Management (IPMA Basic) from Integrata AG in 2019. In 2018, they obtained a certification in Good Clinical Laboratory Praxis (GCLP) from cirQum. Furthermore, in 2014, Lisa earned a Certificate in laboratory animal science (FELASA B) from DKFZ German Cancer Research Center.
