Stéphan Benay

Stéphan Benay has a diverse work experience in the fields of PK/PD modeling, pharmacometrics, and pharmacokinetics. Stéphan is currently serving as an Associate Director and PK-PD Modeling & Pharmacometrics Lead at MorphoSys. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Scientist in PK/PD Modeling & Pharmacometrics at MorphoSys from January 2020 to February 2021.

Before joining MorphoSys, Stéphan worked as a Pharmacometrics Specialist at Grünenthal Group from June 2016 to December 2019. Stéphan also gained experience as a Research Engineer in PK/PD Modeling and Simulation at Inserm - Team BIPID - Pr France Mentré from October 2015 to May 2016.

Stéphan's earlier roles include a position as a Modeling and Simulation Scientist at Kelly | Scientific Resources in July to September 2015, and a Research Fellow in the Laboratory of Pharmacokinetics & Toxicokinetics - Pr iliadis from November 2014 to June 2015. Stéphan also briefly served as a Deputy Clinical Pharmacologist at the Laboratory of Pharmacology, Pr Laurent, Hôpital Européen Georges Pompidou from July to October 2014.

Stéphan's educational background includes a PhD in Pharmacy, for which they conducted research as a PhD Student at the Faculty of Pharmacy from January to June 2014. Stéphan gained internships in Modeling and Simulation departments at Roche in Basel, Switzerland, first from June to November 2012, and then from May to December 2013.

Prior to their internships at Roche, Stéphan worked as a Resident Pharmacist in the Laboratory of Pharmacokinetics & Toxicokinetics, Pr Iliadis, Faculty of Pharmacy (Marseille) from May 2010 to April 2013. Overall, Stéphan has gained valuable experience and expertise throughout their various roles in the field of PK/PD modeling and pharmacometrics.

Stéphan Benay has an extensive education history. Stéphan started their academic journey by obtaining a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI), although the specific dates are unknown. Stéphan then pursued a Master's degree in Sciences & Technologies with a specialization in Research Chemistry, specifically Pharmacokinetics, at Aix-Marseille University from 2008 to 2010. Following that, they earned a Diploma of Specialized Studies in Industrial and Biomedical Pharmacy from Université de la Méditerranée (Aix-Marseille II) between 2008 and 2013.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Benay completed a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Health and Life Sciences with a specialization in Oncology at Aix-Marseille University from 2010 to 2014. Finally, they obtained a University Degree in Modeling & Simulation, population approaches in PK-PD from Aix-Marseille University in 2013-2014.
