The story of MG began in 1924 in the UK. In the years that followed, MG's stunning cars were the ride of choice for many celebrities, including British Prime Ministers and several members of the royal family. MG also has a long and storied history as an iconic British racing brand, having dominated championships the world over. Since then, MG has continued to be a style icon through the years. 

Now, MG has made its way to India under the leadership of the SAIC Motor Corporation Limited, the world's 7th largest automobile company. MG brings its legacy to one of the world's fastest growing automobile markets with a clear vision to build the 'next generation automotive company.'​ While delivering the best automotive experience of its kind for customers, one that reflects the MG heritage, sporting legacy and sheer class.  

MG has inaugurated its first manufacturing facility in September 2017 in Halol, Gujarat. Come 2019, MG Motor plans to launch its first wave of cars in India.
