Jerika Lamas

Jerika Lamas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Jerika started their career as an Intern at Jozef Stefan Institute in 2006, followed by a Trainee position at LGPhilips Displays in 2007. Jerika then pursued a PhD and worked as a PhD Fellow at Ghent University from 2009 to 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Post Doc at Université Libre de Bruxelles. Jerika then transitioned into industry, joining Bekaert in 2015 as a Product Engineer for Advanced Cords. In 2016, they moved to Bridon-Bekaert The Ropes Group and took on the role of Product Engineer before becoming the Product and Application Development Manager in 2017. Most recently, they joined Morrow Optics in 2019 as a Quality & Reliability Engineer.

Jerika Lamas has a diverse educational background. Jerika completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from Ghent University, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they obtained their Master's degree in Materials Engineering from USP - Universidade de São Paulo, graduating in 2009 after studying from 2003 to 2009. Jerika also pursued a Technical degree in Electronics Technician from Colégio Técnico Industrial de Guaratinguetá, which they completed from 2000 to 2003. Additionally, they attended Het perspectief, where they studied Dutch/Flemish Language and Literature from 2010 to 2016.
