Mathew Livianu has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of robotics and engineering. Mathew is currently serving as the Chief Engineer at MORSE Corp since 2023. Prior to this role, they worked at GreyOrange where they held various positions including Associate Director of Engineering from June 2021 to February 2023, Senior Manager and Architect from November 2020 to June 2021, Technical Manager and Architect from May 2020 to November 2020, and Senior Member Of Technical Staff - Software and Controls from November 2018 to May 2020.

Before joining GreyOrange, Mathew worked at iSee AI in 2018 as a Controls and Software Consultant. Mathew also served as the Director of Robot Software and Controls at ALERT INNOVATION from April 2017 to June 2018. In this role, they successfully delivered real-time software for grocery automation, implemented hybrid agile/waterfall software development process, and mentored a team of engineers.

Earlier in their career, Mathew worked at Medtronic Minimally Invasive Therapies Group as a Principal Robotics/Controls Engineer from December 2015 to April 2017, and as a Staff Systems Engineer (Lead Controls Architect) from November 2013 to December 2015. Mathew also worked at Boston Dynamics as an Advanced Robotics Engineer from August 2007 to October 2013. During their tenure at Boston Dynamics, they contributed to the development of advanced control systems for quadrupedal and bipedal legged robots.

Mathew has also gained experience as a Guest Lecturer at GaTech ECE Department in 2007, a Robotics Researcher at Jet Propulsion Lab in 2006, a Multi-Disciplined Engineer at Raytheon Company in 2004, and as a Systems Engineer Intern at General Dynamics in 2003.

Mathew Livianu earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's Degree in ECE (Controls, Robotics) at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2008.
