Vandana Patel

Vandana Patel has a wealth of work experience. Vandana began their career in 1996 as an Engineering Manager at Motorola, where they quickly rose from HW design engineer, Field engineer, and SW engineer to Engineering Manager. In 2007, they joined Yahoo as a Technical Product Manager for Data Collection and Transport product, Recruiting and Training lead for the Champaign site, Scrum Coach, and Senior Software Engineering Manager. In 2015, they became the Chief Operating Officer of Agrible, Inc., where they were responsible for overseeing day-to-day internal business operations, creating the strategic three-year plan and implementing new processes and approaches to achieve it, and developing a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals. In 2016, they joined Maxput, LLC as an Agriculture Technology consultant and Software developer, Business Operation Management Consultant, and Software Development Specialist. In 2021, they began working at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign as a Technology Development Specialist, providing intensive entrepreneurial assistance to faculty, researchers, and students. Most recently, they are the Chief Technology Officer of CarbonBook, spearheading the software development of the CarbonBook APP for the Controlled-environment agriculture (CEA) Industry.

Vandana Patel attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 1995 to 1996, where they earned their Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Science (EECS).
