Hannah Lawson

Middle & Upper School Orchestra Director at Mounds Park Academy

Hannah Lawson is the Middle & Upper School Orchestra Director at Mounds Park Academy. Hannah has previously worked as the Music Director at Saudi Aramco, the Orchestra Director at Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, and as an adjunct music faculty member at Saint Xavier University. Hannah has also worked as a music teacher at Dhahran British Grammar School.

Lawson has extensive experience in directing and teaching orchestras. At Mother McAuley, they directed four ensembles ranging from grades 9-12, with a total of 150 students. Hannah also developed grade-specific music programs tailored to the learning needs of students of different ages and class sizes. In addition, they accompanied students to the Illinois All State Orchestra and organized various shows and performance trips, including a trip to Nashville, Tennessee in 2013 and a trip to Ireland in 2014.

At Saint Xavier University, Lawson taught music courses as an adjunct faculty member. And at Dhahran British Grammar School, they taught music to students in grades 9-12.

Lawson’s passion for music and their experience in teaching and directing orchestras make their an excellent Middle & Upper School Orchestra Director at Mounds Park Academy.

Hannah Lawson has a Master of Music Education from Boston University and a Bachelor's degree in Music Teacher Education from Bowling Green State University.

Hannah Lawson reports to Bill Hudson, Head of School. Some of their coworkers include John Habermann - Middle & Upper School Choir Director, Alli Capasso - Assistant Director of Admission, Middle & Upper School, and Renee Wright - Lower School Director.
