Zenén Jaimes Pérez has a diverse work experience in advocacy and communications roles. Zenén currently serves as the Managing Director at MOVE Texas, where they lead the Finance Operations and Development Departments. Zenén also worked at the Center for American Progress as a Senior Policy Analyst for Generation Progress, advocating for economic opportunity, immigration, and LGBTQ rights. Zenén authored reports and policy memos and lobbied the federal government to expand education benefits for immigrant students. Zenén also served as a Policy Advocate, conducting research, publishing reports, and building relationships with coalition partners and policymakers.

Zenén began their career at Advocates for Youth as a Public Policy Fellow, researching and writing about policy issues affecting young people. Zenén also led the development of an annual lobby day on Capitol Hill.

Zenén gained valuable experience as a Leadership Intern and Victory Congressional Intern at Victory Fund & Institute, where they learned about coalition building, online campaigns, fundraising, and lobbying while working in the office of Senator Bob Menendez.
