Adiyah Ali

SVP, Anti-Racism, Equity & Inclusion at M&R Strategic Services

Adiyah Ali is the SVP of Anti-Racism, Equity & Inclusion at M&R Strategic Services. Prior to joining M&R, Adiyah worked as a Senior Development Officer/Development Officer/Program Officer at Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC). At LISC, Adiyah used a racial equity lens to lead the development, strategic management, stewardship, and philanthropic outreach of foundations and corporations. Adiyah also provided leadership in grant process, including concept development, proposal submission, reporting, funder presentations, and the development of outcomes, metrics, theories of change, and program budgets.

In 2020, Adiyah helped raise $250 million for under-resourced communities by researching, identifying, and cultivating cross-sector funder relationships. Additionally, Adiyah spearheaded the use of a Racial Equity Assessment Tool to guide the application of a racial equity lens in LISC’s community engagement, grantmaking, lending, and provision of technical assistance. Lastly, Adiyah managed the inaugural Oramenta Newsome Community Development Fellowship Program; oversaw recruitment outreach, fellow selection, program development and design; coaching and member supports.

Adiyah Ali's educational career includes a Doctor of Education from the USC Rossier School of Education, a Masters in Public Policy from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelors from Roanoke College. Adiyah also has certification from the General Assembly in Digital Marketing Circuit.
