Yusuf Purna

Yusuf Purna is an experienced professional with a diverse background in information technology and cybersecurity. Yusuf currently holds the position of Chief Cyber Risk Officer at MTI Ltd., where they oversee the Cyber Risk Management Office. Prior to this, Yusuf worked at Wipro Limited, where they served as the Regional IT Risk Officer for the Cybersecurity & Risk Services division. In this role, they implemented and enforced robust IT infrastructure security and cybersecurity controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Yusuf also managed and maintained various certifications and successfully navigated audits to uphold stringent security standards. Yusuf's major clients at Wipro included Marelli Corporation and Olympus Corporation.

Before joining Wipro, Yusuf worked at Hudson Japan K.K. as the Vice President of Information Services & Security. In this role, they provided visionary leadership for Information Services operations in the Asia Pacific region. Yusuf also strengthened Information Security, Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Information Governance programs to enhance regional resilience. During their time at Hudson Japan K.K., Yusuf championed the development and maintenance of ISO 27001-aligned information security management and ISO 22301-aligned business continuity management programs.

Yusuf started their career as a Network Manager/Consultant at Kontan Business and Investment Media, where they managed an IT service desk team and supported diverse technologies such as local area networks, servers, and workstations. Yusuf later joined Trisakti University as a Lecturer of Computer Science.

Yusuf's earlier experiences include roles at Sony as a Network & System Engineer/Security Engineer, where they optimized Windows and UNIX-based infrastructure, and at LIDS Open Source Project as a Developer/Maintainer, where they maintained LIDS 1.2.x for the Linux kernel.

Yusuf Purna pursued a PhD in Computer Science from Shizuoka University from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a M. Eng. degree in Computer Science from the same university between 1991 and 1993. Additionally, Yusuf received a B. Eng. degree in Computer Science from Shizuoka University from 1987 to 1991.
