Narain Jashanmal

Narain Jashanmal has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Narain is currently a Board Member at Jashanmal National Co. Prior to that, they worked as a VP Product at MUBI, where they built products for film enthusiasts worldwide, implemented machine learning and AI-based recommendation systems, and received the Apple TV App of the Year award in 2023. Narain also served as the Director of Social Commerce at Meta, where they managed a team of 12 and pioneered new shopping experiences in Virtual and Augmented Reality.

Before joining Meta, Narain worked at Facebook in multiple roles. Narain was the Director of Ecommerce Partnerships, leading a team of 30 and assisting retail and e-commerce businesses in integrating and selling on Facebook and Instagram. Narain also served as the Head of Instagram Commerce Partnerships, launching and growing native checkout on Instagram Shopping with various partners. Additionally, they worked as a Product Marketing Lead, Industry Manager for US Retail, and Head of DR Advertising MENA at Facebook.

Prior to their time at Facebook, Narain held key positions at Jashanmal National Co. Narain was the General Manager of the Media & Logistics division, managing a $30 million P&L and guiding a multi-channel business unit. Narain also worked as a Store Manager at Jashanmal Department Store. Additionally, Narain co-founded and worked as a Principal at six + west, an independent publishing firm based in Dubai.

Earlier in their career, Narain worked as a Freelance Filmmaker, where they wrote, produced, directed, and edited independent films. Narain has earned accolades at various film festivals for their work.

Narain Jashanmal obtained a BFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University from 1997 to 2001. Additionally, they pursued Executive Education in Accounting and Finance at Columbia Business School in 2009, as well as Executive Education in Marketing at IMD in 2008. Prior to that, they completed A Levels in Literature, Biology, and Theatre at Aiglon College from 1995 to 1997.
