Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions in educational technology. Since July 2010, Chris has been with SMART Technologies, initially serving as a firmware engineer and currently as an electrical engineer, focusing on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and related educational devices. Prior to this, Chris worked as an electronics contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing small educational devices, and gained teaching experience as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Earlier career experiences include serving as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where Chris contributed to control systems for forestry equipment. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
