Linus Tan has over 19 years of work experience in the software engineering field, beginning with a Software Engineer role at Upper Hand LLC in 2002. Linus then moved to Envisage Reality and Singapore Management University, both in 2003, as a Software Engineer. In 2004, they joined Signal Institute as a Software Engineer. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Software Engineer at 2K Australia, where they worked on the titles Bioshock 2 and The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. From 2009 to 2012, they were a Senior Programmer at Ubisoft, Singapore, where they were the Technical Lead for the Gameplay team. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Technical Relations Engineer at Havok. From 2015 to 2022, they were a Spacecraft Software Engineer at Spire Global, Inc. Finally, they joined TomTom in 2022 as a Principal Architect and is currently a Principal Software Engineer at Muon Space.
Linus Tan attended Raffles Institution from 1997 to 2000. Linus then went on to pursue a Diploma in Information Technology at Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 2001 to 2004. Linus also obtained an Introduction to Artificial Intelligence certification from Udacity.
