Paulo Gonçalves Teixeira

Paulo Gonçalves Teixeira has a diverse work experience. In 2009, they began as a Project Assistant at CNC UC. Paulo then moved on to a BSc Student Thesis at CNC UC in 2011. In 2012, they became a MSc Student Thesis at Biocant - Technology Transfer Association, where they expressed and characterized bacterial retroviral proteases. In 2013, they began their PhD Student role at Chalmers University of Technology, where they worked on engineering lipid metabolism of Saccharomyces cerevisiae for production of oleochemical precursors. In 2014, they became a Co-Founder and member of the Management Team at Biopetrolia. Paulo then returned to Chalmers University of Technology in 2018 as a Post-Doc Researcher, where they worked on a project involving production of specialty fatty acids for biotechnological production of lubricants. Finally, in 2019, they joined Mycorena AB as Chief Innovation Officer, Lead Product Manager, and Marketing and Communications Manager.

Paulo Gonçalves Teixeira has an educational background in Biochemistry. Paulo obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) from Universidade de Coimbra in 2011, a Master of Science (MSc) from Universidade de Coimbra in 2013, and a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD from Chalmers University of Technology in 2018.
