Vanessa Lopez

Vanessa Lopez has a diverse work experience in the media industry. In 2023, they worked as a Freelance Audience Engagement Specialist at the Chicago Sun-Times. Prior to that, they were a Social Media Editor and a Social Media Assistant at The DePaulia. Vanessa also served as an Assistant News Editor and a Staff Writer at The DePaulia in earlier roles. In 2022, Vanessa was the Vice President and Social Media Coordinator at NAHJ (National Association of Hispanic Journalists). Additionally, they had internships at NBCUniversal as a Special Projects Intern and a Digital Editorial Intern. Vanessa also worked in Event Operations at the Chicago Cubs in 2022 and in Fan Event and Experiences at the Chicago Blackhawks from 2021 to 2023.

Vanessa Lopez completed their high school education at Goshen High School from 2016 to 2020, earning their High School Diploma. Currently, they are pursuing a degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs at DePaul University, expected to be completed in 2024.
