Jason Jean is currently a JavaScript Architect at Narwhal Technologies. Prior to that, they were an Algorithm Architect at Forbes from December 2012 to March 2018. In that role, they were the product owner of algorithms used for content curation and popularity, and was also responsible for site performance optimizations and new technologies. Jason implemented serverside rendering using Angular 2/Angular Universal.
Before their time at Forbes, Jason was a Quality Assurance Intern from May to August 2012, where they tested the website before it went live, found bugs, and assisted in their resolution. Jason also used Selenium to help automate some daily checks on the website. From December 2011 to January 2012, Jason was a Data and Analytics Intern, where they analyzed site data to track revenue and advertisement delivery, and transferred data to Google DART Manager.
Jason Jean graduated from Parsippany High School and went on to study mechanical engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Jason earned their bachelor's degree from NJIT.
