Charles Phillips is a seasoned thermal engineer with extensive experience in aerospace applications. Currently serving as Lead Thermal Engineer at Apex since January 2023, Charles has been with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory since December 1997, where responsibilities include senior thermal engineering roles on various projects such as the Mars Exploration Rover and OCO-2. Areas of expertise encompass thermal design, system-level testing, and project coordination, with a strong emphasis on innovative thermal solutions and hardware integration. Charles holds a Master of Science in Astronautics from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
