Jonathan Yam has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Jonathan began their career in 1999 as Manager of Software Engineering at Walt Disney Internet Group, where they built the 2004 U.S. Presidential Election website for ABCNEWS.com. In 2005, they joined Lehman Brothers as Assistant Vice President of LMX Algorithmic Trading, where they implemented LMX algorithmic strategies and smart order routers for Equities and Options. In 2008, they moved to Barclays Capital as Vice President of LMX Algorithmic Trading.

In 2011, Jonathan became Director and Head of Development for THOR Smart Order Routing at RBC Capital Markets. Jonathan was responsible for leading development in the US and Canada for the patented smart order router. In 2017, they became CEO of Gi4 Financial Technologies, LLC. In 2018, they joined Citi as a Director.

In 2019, Jonathan moved to IEX as Head of Technology Development, overseeing technology platform and products development. In 2021, they became Director of Engineering, Exchange at Coinbase, where they managed the day-to-day operations of the US spot exchange and scaled the trading systems up for the crypto bull run. Most recently, Jonathan joined Nasdaq Private Market as Chief Technology Officer in 2022.

Jonathan Yam obtained a Bachelor in Computer Science from Yale University. Jonathan also obtained a Series 57 - Securities Trader Examination (TD) certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in January 2017.
