Alison Bolton

Alison Bolton serves as the Vice President of Artistic Operations and General Manager at the Nashville Symphony since February 2023, previously holding the position of Vice President of Artistic Administration. Bolton's extensive experience in artistic leadership includes roles as Vice President of Artistic & Orchestra Operations and Director of Orchestra and Hall Operations at the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra from July 2016 to February 2023. Prior to that, Bolton was the Director of Artistic Operations & Education for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra and the General Manager for the Albany Symphony Orchestra, where responsibilities included oversight of artistic operations and educational initiatives. Additionally, Bolton held the role of Manager of Audience Engagement, Festivals, and Artistic Projects at the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Bolton's academic background includes a Master of Music in Viola Performance and Music History from The University of Akron and a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
