Dan Weiss currently serves as the Board Director for the Board on Behavioral, Cognitive, and Sensory Sciences at The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine since June 2022. In addition, Dan Weiss has been the Editor-in-Chief of Translational Issues in Psychological Science for the American Psychological Association since July 2019. Dan Weiss was a Professor of Psychology and Linguistics at Penn State University from 2003 until June 2022, having previously held the position of Associate Professor. Dan Weiss began an academic career as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Rochester from 2000 to 2003, where research was conducted on language acquisition under the guidance of Dick Aslin and Elissa Newport. Dan Weiss earned an MA and PhD in Psychology from Harvard University from 1994 to 2000, and a BA in Psychology from the University of Maryland from 1991 to 1994.
