April Capone, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. April currently serves as the Director of External Affairs and Affiliate Engagement at the National Apartment Association. In this position, they are responsible for managing relationships with external stakeholders and promoting the organization's mission.

Prior to their current role, April worked as the Director of Public Affairs at the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority. Here, they utilized their public relations skills to enhance the organization's image and engage with the community through public outreach and media opportunities.

April also has experience in the education sector, having worked as an Adjunct Professor of Political Science and Sociology at Gateway Community College. April designed and delivered courses on American government and politics, aiming to inspire students to become active participants in their communities.

Furthermore, April had a significant role at Yale New Haven Hospital as the Director of the Center for Living Organ Donors. During their tenure, they successfully created and launched the center, overseeing all aspects of living and deceased organ transplant operations and leading a team of 11 staff members.

Before their work at the hospital, April served as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, Municipal Outreach, and Disaster Resilience Policy and Planning at the State of Connecticut's Office of the Governor. In this role, they facilitated communication between state and local governments, managed a database of municipal leaders, and assisted with policy initiatives and emergency management planning.

April's early career included a tenure as the Mayor and Municipal CEO of the Town of East Haven, CT. April collaborated with department heads and administrators to navigate through economic challenges and developed emergency management plans to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.

Through their diverse range of experiences, April has developed strong leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills, making their a valuable asset in various professional settings.

April Capone, MBA studied at Southern Connecticut State University from 2003 to 2005 and earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Prior to that, they attended the University of New Haven from 1993 to 1997 where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in both Business Administration and Management, as well as in Music and Sound Engineering.
