Samantha Karon

Senior Program Manager, Substance Use Disorder at National Association of Counties

Samantha is NACo’s senior program manager for substance use disorder. She is responsible for managing projects to convene and catalyze county leaders as they leverage multiple funding streams to address substance use disorders in their communities. Prior to joining NACo, Samantha worked in injury and violence prevention at the North Carolina Division of Public Health. Prior to that position, Samantha worked across the behavioral health and justice portfolios at Abt Associates. Samantha holds a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
