Samantha Samuelsen

Samantha Samuelsen has a diverse range of work experience. Samantha most recently worked as a Government Affairs Program Manager at the National Audubon Society starting in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Policy Analyst at the California State Senate from 2021 to 2022. Samantha also held the role of Senior Legislative Aide & Communications Director at the California State Senate from February to December 2021. From 2019 to 2022, Samantha worked at the Asian Pacific Islander Capitol Association (APICA), first as a Communications Director and later as the Vice President. During their time at APICA, they managed information flow, curated newsletters, and created graphics for wide-scale public distribution. Before that, they worked at the California State Assembly as a Legislative Aide and Legislative Intern from 2018 to 2021. Samantha also gained research experience as a Research Assistant and Research Group Leader at the University of California, Davis from 2017 to 2018.
