Teresa Dewalt

Chapter Network Manager at National Audubon Society

Teresa DeWalt has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Teresa started their career as an Archaeology Intern at the National Park Service in 2009, where they authored a guidebook and conducted site assessments of archaeological sites. Teresa then worked as an Outdoor Adventures Guide at the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2009 and as a Spanish Tutor from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they became an Interpretive Park Ranger at the National Park Service. From 2015 to 2017, Teresa worked for the Peace Corps as a Coordinator of Environmental Education. Teresa then co-owned Ballard Kayak Expeditions in 2017 and joined the National Audubon Society in 2018 as a Chapter Network Manager.

Teresa DeWalt has a diverse education background. Teresa obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in New Media Journalism and Spanish Language from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Natural Resources Management, specializing in the Peace Corps Masters International program, at the same university from 2013 to 2017. In 2010 to 2011, Teresa participated in an Advanced Spanish Language Program at Universidad de Cádiz. Additionally, they have certifications as a Certified Interpretive Guide from the National Association of Interpreters and as a Wilderness First Responder from Wilderness Medical Associates International.
