Kirk Tanner

Kirk Tanner has worked at the National Brain Tumor Society as the Senior Vice President of the Brain Tumor Investment Fund since May 2022. Prior to this role, they held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at the National Brain Tumor Society starting in November 2018. Before their tenure at the NBTS, they worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from 2001 to 2008, where they held various research and scientist roles, including Senior Research Fellow and Research Scientist.

Kirk Tanner obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from CSUF during the period of 1987 to 1989. Following this, they pursued a higher level of education and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry at UC San Diego, from 1991 to 1997.
