Alessandro Dovis is a highly regarded academic in the field of economics, currently serving as a Research Associate and Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research since May 2015. Dovis has held the position of Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Pennsylvania since July 2016, previously serving as an Assistant Professor of Economics. Prior experience includes roles as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Penn State University and an IES Fellow at Princeton University. Earlier in Dovis's career, a position as a Research Analyst was held at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. Dovis earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the University of Minnesota and holds both an MA and BA in Economics from Università degli Studi di Torino.
