Jim Brown

Chief Growth Officer at National Capitol Contracting

Jim Brown joined NCC in January of 2020 as Chief Growth Officer. He is responsible for expanding NCC’s business portfolio, and further developing the growth engine for NCC. Mr. Brown oversees all of NCC’s Growth and Business Development efforts, working closely with the Operations and Finance divisions. He will focus on expanding NCC’s business portfolio into new customer spaces, leveraging current NCC expertise, and migrating into new technology areas.

Mr. Brown has spent his entire professional career in the Federal IT marketplace, with a focus on business development in the US Federal government sector. He brings more than 30 years of experience supporting defense, health, and financial agencies, primarily at large systems integration companies. Prior to joining NCC, he has served in BD and Sr. Management roles at BAE Systems, HP, CSC, and most recently General Dynamics Information Technology and its predecessor companies (CSRA and SRA). He has extensive success in winning business in new customer accounts, including the US Treasury Departmental Offices, the IRS, Social Security Administration, the SEC, among others.

Mr. Brown is a graduate of Oberlin College, Ohio, with a BA in Economics, with additional certifications from eCornell University. He is a native of the DC metro area and currently resides in Rockville, MD; is married, with three sons. Outside of work, he enjoys playing music for a local community orchestra, and an acoustic ensemble and orchestra for his church. Other hobbies include hiking and spending time outdoors. He fits in well at NCC as an avid local sports fan; he closely follows the Caps, Nationals, Wizards, and the Washington Football Team.
