Josh Ricken

Josh Ricken is currently serving as the Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Manager at the National Chicken Council since November 2022. Ricken has previous experience as a Legal Clerk for the Environmental Advocacy Clinic of Vermont Law School and the National Wildlife Federation, where tasks included creating comments for the EPA and researching WOTUS regulations. Ricken also worked as a Legal Clerk at the US Environmental Protection Agency, focusing on maintaining Consent Decrees and preparing memos. Earlier internships with Tyson Foods involved wastewater facility operations and participation in environmental audits. Ricken holds a Doctor of Law (JD) with a focus on Administrative Law and Environmental Law from Elon University School of Law, a Master’s in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law and Graduate School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science from Elon University.
