Mary Barrett

Mary Barrett has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Mary started their career as a Multi Line Field Adjuster at St. Paul Fire and in 1984, where they handled personal and commercial property and liability claims. Mary also served on the Hurricane Andrew catastrophe team in 1992. From 1996 to 2003, Mary worked as a Branch Office General Adjuster at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, handling commercial lines property and casualty claims.

In 2000, Mary joined Travelers as a Senior Technical Specialist, where they handled commercial auto, premises, and product liability claims in a designated construction unit. Mary was quickly promoted to Senior Technical Specialist with increased exposure. At Travelers, they also managed litigation, attendance at mediation, and issuance of reservation of rights letters.

From 2003 to 2008, Mary worked at Zurich North America as a Senior Claims Specialist, managing coverage-intensive and complex litigated construction defect claims. Mary issued reservation of rights letters and provided litigation management.

Mary then joined ACE Group in 2009 as a Claims Director, where they managed complex litigated construction general liability cases and environmental general liability cases nationwide. Mary specialized in cases involving New York Labor Law Statutes applicable to construction workers and handled coverage actions.

In 2011, Mary worked at American Safety Insurance as a Senior Claims Specialist. Mary managed environmental and general liability cases, including litigated claims, and provided claim summaries and analysis for monthly renewals.

Mary joined RiverStone Claims Management in 2014 as a Claims Analyst, handling environmental and general liability claims after American Safety was purchased by RiverStone.

Most recently, Mary has been working at National Claim Services LLC since 2015. Their roles there include Senior Claim Specialist, Construction Defect Claim Supervisor, and currently as the Construction Defect Assistant Vice President. It can be inferred that Mary has progressed in their career and is currently in a leadership role at National Claim Services.
