Michael Grauer is the McCasland Chair of Cowboy Culture and Curator of Cowboy Collections & Western Art at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Prior to this role, Michael served as an Adjunct Lecturer in Western American Studies at West Texas A&M University for almost two decades. With a background in art history and fine arts, Michael has extensive experience in curatorial affairs and has held positions such as Associate Director for Curatorial Affairs at the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum. Michael holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Master of Arts in Art History from the University of Kansas, as well as a Master of Arts in History from West Texas A&M University and Southern Methodist University.
