Shajira Brown

Shajira Brown, MPA, CAPM, is an experienced professional in the fields of equity, inclusion, and financial engagement. Currently serving as Director of Equity and Inclusion at the National Disability Institute since November 2017, Shajira has held various roles within the organization, including Manager of Equity and Inclusion and Project Coordinator. Prior to this, Shajira was with the Center for Urban Families as Manager of Special Projects and Executive Support and worked at KRA Corporation as a Lead Career Agent. Early career experience includes positions at the Bowery Residents' Committee as an Achievement Retention Specialist and Covenant House New York as a Community Worker. Shajira holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor's degree in Social Services Administration from Medgar Evers College, CUNY.
