Local Assistance State Team - Coordinator at National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF)

Steve Richardson currently serves as the Fire Chief for Lawrence Township Emergency Services and a Council Member for the Village of Paw Paw, Michigan. With extensive experience in fire and emergency services, Steve has coordinated local assistance for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and represents the Michigan State Fire Fighters Association on the Michigan Fire Fighters Training Council. Previous roles include Fire Science Program Assistant at Van Buren Tech and a long tenure with the State of Michigan's Department of Military & Veterans Affairs. Steve holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Safety from Siena Heights University and an Associate of Science in Fire Science from Kellogg Community College.

National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF)

The United States Congress created the NFFF to lead a nationwide effort to remember America's fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the non-profit foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers.The NFFF also works closely with the fire service and life safety organizations to help prevent and reduce line-of-duty deaths and injuries.
