Susan Bertrand is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in process improvement and operational excellence. Currently serving as the Principal Process Improvement Manager at National Grid since December 2013, Susan focuses on streamlining and enhancing processes across various divisions through methodologies such as problem solving, end-to-end value mapping, ideation, Hoshin Kanri, and lean implementation. Prior to this role, Susan was the Regional Operations Excellence Manager at Gate Gourmet, overseeing LEAN and Continuous Improvement activities in the North East. Additional experience includes serving as LEAN Manager at Esselte Corporation, where training in LEAN Toyota Production techniques was a key responsibility, and as Facility Officer at First USA, where oversight of a major office building’s safety, security, and maintenance was managed. Susan holds a degree from the New York Institute of Technology.
