Joseph Kolly

Joseph Kolly, Ph.D., is currently serving as the Director at MITRE. Joseph'sprevious experience includes being the Chief Safety Scientist at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) since 2016 and serving as the Director of Research and Engineering at the National Transportation Safety Board from 1998 to 2016.

Joseph Kolly, Ph.D. pursued their education in mechanical engineering, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Binghamton University in 1988. Joseph continued their academic journey at the University at Buffalo, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering in 1996.
