Lynn Elliston-Gittings

Social Science Program Specialist at National Institute of Food and Agriculture

Lynn Elliston-Gittings, PhD, currently serves as a Social Science Program Specialist at the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture since September 2021. In addition, Lynn has held various positions at the Center for Epidemiology and Animal Health, including Management Analyst and Community Readiness Consultant from November 2015 to the present, as well as Program Analyst at USDA since January 2018. Lynn's previous experience includes roles as a Work and Family Life Consultant at FFSC, New Parent Support and Transition Counselor Instructor with the Navy fleet and family support center, and Hospital Corpsman in the US Navy. Lynn holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Services from Walden University and has master's and bachelor's degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling and Health Care Administration/Management from Liberty University and the University of West Florida, respectively, and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. Lynn completed secondary education at Centralia High School from 1986 to 1990.
