Ben Puttnam

Ben Puttnam has extensive work experience in the field of research and technology. Ben is currently serving as the Chief Senior Researcher at NICT since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Waseda University from September 2019. Ben also held the position of Senior Researcher at the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology from March 2010 to September 2022. Additionally, they worked as a Guest Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology from September 2009 to February 2010. Ben began their career at T-Mobile as a Switch Design Engineer from August 2000 to October 2002.

Ben Puttnam completed their Master of Physics degree in Physics at The University of Manchester. Ben later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Optical Communications at UCL from 2003 to 2008.
