Christina Murphy is a dedicated researcher with significant experience in the medical field. Currently serving as a Summer Research Intern at the National Institutes of Health since May 2016, Christina focuses on the efficacy of novel drug therapies for fusion-positive rhabdomyosarcoma. Alongside this role, Christina has been an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of Notre Dame since May 2015, contributing to Dr. Schwarz’s research on the role of the protein EMAP-II in angiogenesis and pulmonary macrophages. Previous experience includes a Summer Research Internship at Geisinger Health System, where Christina first engaged with Dr. Anne Moon's lab as a high school student. Christina holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neuroscience & Behavior and Poverty Studies from the University of Notre Dame. Additionally, Christina participated in a study abroad program at UPAEP from 2016 to 2017.
