Mark Lynch

Mark Lynch is an experienced professional in the field of rights management and image licensing, currently serving as the Rights & Images Manager at the National Portrait Gallery since April 2016. In this role, Mark is responsible for generating revenue through licensing activities and managing the Gallery's intellectual property portfolio. Previous positions include Picture Library Manager and Picture Research and Rights Clearance Co-ordinator at the same institution, as well as roles at Christie's Images and Getty Images, where Mark developed expertise in business development and picture research. Mark's independent consultancy, established in January 2010, leverages extensive knowledge of art and history imagery to support cultural institutions and picture libraries. Mark holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Sussex.
