Prior to joining NREL, Seligman served in numerous capacities during her 15-year career in the United States Congress, including 7 years as a professional staff member for the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations, Energy and Water Development Subcommittee, where she was responsible for congressional oversight and providing funding for a variety of Department of Energy programs, including the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and the Office of Science. She previously served as legislative director to U.S. Representative Alan Nunnelee and senior legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Rodney Alexander.
Seligman has a bachelor's degree in communication and information sciences from the University of Alabama. She is also a 2017 graduate of the NREL Executive Energy Leadership Program.
