Talha Iqbal

Talha Iqbal is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Galway, specializing in the development of AI techniques for the classification and segmentation of cardiovascular diseases while ensuring privacy and model interoperability. Previously, Talha worked as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at SymPhysis Medical, focusing on integrating AI into medical devices for personalized healthcare. Other roles include volunteer lead at CORRIB Research Centre, where Talha conducted data validation studies and machine learning brainstorming, and embedded systems engineer positions at InFine and Galway VentShare, developing systems for healthcare monitoring. Talha holds a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Medicine from the University of Galway, alongside a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad.
