Sarah Bouwman has extensive experience in the legal field, with a focus on corporate counsel. Sarah is currently working as a Corporate Counsel at National Western Life, starting in July 2020. Prior to this, Sarah worked at Sammons Financial Group Member Companies for a period of 18 years as a Counsel, from May 2002 to January 2020. Sarah also has experience in the education sector, having worked as an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Technical University from April 2004 to April 2005. Sarah began their career as a Senior Consumer Affairs Associate at Midland National Life Insurance Company in December 1999, where they worked until May 2002.
Sarah Bouwman attended Huron University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice in May 1996. Sarah then went on to attend the University of South Dakota from 1996 to 1998, where they earned a Juris Doctorate degree.
In addition to their formal education, Sarah Bouwman has obtained several certifications. In 2003, they obtained the AIRC certification (Associate, Insurance Regulatory Compliance) from LOMA. In 2004, they obtained two more certifications from LOMA - ACS (Associate, Customer Service) and AIAA (Associate, Insurance Agency Administration).
