Jon Meyer has been in the software engineering industry for almost 30 years. In 1992, they began their career as an Engineering Manager at Agile, Inc, where they were responsible for hardware and software development of new products as well as maintenance and improvement of existing products. In 2000, they moved to B2C2 as a Firmware Development Manager. In 2005, they joined SEL as a Development Manager, where they were responsible for recruiting, training and managing a team of engineers developing automated functional test infrastructure and designing and implementing automated tests for sophisticated data communications and real time control products. In 2011, they became involved with Toastmasters International -- District 9, where they held the roles of District Governor, Lieutenant Governor Education and Training, and Lieutenant Governor Marketing (LGM). In 2020, they took a semi-retired role as a Software Engineer at Home. In 2021, they joined Natural Intelligence Systems as a Software Engineering Manager and Software Engineer.
Jon Meyer's education history includes a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Engineering Management from the University of Colorado Boulder, obtained between 2011 and 2014, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics and Economics from the University of San Francisco, obtained between 1992 and 1994. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including an IACET Certified Instructor from the International Association for Continuing Education & Training (IACET) in October 2014, a Six Sigma Green Belt from the ROI Alliance in May 2014, a Certified Tester, Advanced Level Test Manager -- (CTAL-TM) from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board in March 2014, and Python 3 Essential Training from lynda.com in May 2015.
