Health Equity Program Manager at Natural Resources Defense Council

Chantelle Mendonsa has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations. Chantelle is currently working as the Health Equity Program Manager at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), where they started in July 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of SPARCC Health Equity & Community Lead from October 2018 to July 2022. Chantelle also served as the National Campaigns Coordinator from January 2017 to October 2018 at NRDC.

In 2015, Mendonsa worked at the White House Council on Environmental Quality as the Assistant to the Managing Director from May 2015 to September 2016. Additionally, they had an internship role as an Environment & Finance Intern at the Office of Senator Charles Schumer from January 2015 to June 2015.

In 2012, Mendonsa co-founded DivestSU (@DivestSUESF) and held the position until May 2015. During 2014, they served as the People's Climate March: Upstate New York State Regional Lead at 350.org from June 2014 to September 2014. Chantelle also worked as an Affordable Housing Intern at Home HeadQuarters Inc. from January 2014 to May 2014.

Chantelle also held the position of Research Consultant at Literacy Volunteers of Greater Syracuse from August 2013 to December 2013. In addition, they worked as an Academic Enrichment Specialist at Say Yes to Education from February 2013 to September 2013.

Chantelle Mendonsa, MPH completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Syracuse University - Maxwell School, with a major in Political Science & Policy Studies and minors in Economics & Middle Eastern Studies. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "The Health Effects of Climate Change" from HarvardX - An Online Learning Initiative by Harvard University through edX in June 2019.
